My Story

Journey to creating a Fandom Save File.

Sul Sul.

I'm an Australian content creator named Simming In Oz. I started my YouTube journey in the beginning of October 2024, with my first video 'Making Myself in the Sims 4" Like many before me, I'd always considered starting a YouTube channel and one day, I thought 'What the heck!" and jumped in. Honestly, I loved it. I've always been creative minded and I loved learning to edit videos, do voice over, create thumbnails and explore what being a creator was all about. I recall obsessively checking to see if anyone had viewed my video and jumping for joy when I got my very first subscriber, which began a very long passion project.

An idea for a save file was born.

I was going to build a Sims 4 Harry Potter Save File! Which quickly morphed into I was going to build a multi fandom Sims 4 Save File.  I've been a Sims gal since the early days of The Sims, playing each instalment, all the way through to the Sims 4. Ask me what I'm taking to a deserted island, it's going to be the ability to play the Sims. Adding this love of the Sims with my varied and loving relationship with most media, I had a never ending amount of worlds and characters I could build into my ultimate fandom save file.

I love the idea of my YouTube journey being married to the brand of Fandom. So what does Fandom mean to me? Fandom has always been about community in my mind, the ability to connect with total strangers over a shared love of media. Creating a safe space where you can be creative about the fandoms you love, with fan art, fan fiction or community discussion. or in my case, creating a Sims 4 Save File where all your fandoms get to live, evolve and thrive together.

And at the end of the day it's my pleasure and privilege to create something that may bring another person joy, one fandom and one world at a time.
